Indira Sandilya is a development communication professional, with many years of work experience in India, the Philippines, and elsewhere. In India, at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), an industry lobby group, she designed communication materials. Subsequently, she helped CII improve workplace communication on HIV/AIDS. Later, at DKT International, a social marketing NGO, she fashioned an extremely successful media strategy for distributing oral contraceptives. She worked as Communication Manager at Conservation International in the Philippines and was a consultant to the World Bank in Afghanistan and Cambodia and the Asian Development Bank in Bhutan.
With PTF, she mentored CSOs and CBOs in Karnataka to improve social safety net programs. Currently, she heads PTF’s Working Group on Women and Anti-Corruption.
