October 15, 2024: One year on from the introduction in 2023 of a regulation increasing the threshold for small-value procurement by almost 50%, a recent meeting of Moldova’s National Platform for Public Procurement (NPPP) noted that such procurements were being underreported, potentially signaling greater lack of transparency in such transactions.
The NPPP will submit recommendations to the relevant authorities on how to strengthen oversight of such transactions and increase reporting of them by contracting agencies.
