May 21, 2025: PTF Board Member Mervyn King is set to receive the inaugural Finance for the Future Lifetime Achievement Award from Deloitte on June 3, 2025 in London. Mervyn King, a former Supreme Court Judge in South Africa, has consulted, advised and spoken on legal, business, advertising, sustainability and corporate governance issues in 53 countries, and also works as an arbitrator and mediator internationally.
Mervyn King joined the PTF Board of Directors in 2022, and serves as the Africa Committee Chair. He is set to receive the inaugural award, a collaborative effort between Accounting for Sustainability, ICAEW and Deloitte, which recognizes individuals whose work has had a profound and lasting impact on the role of finance in building a sustainable future. He chaired the King Committee on Corporate Governance in South Africa, which also developed standards linked to sustainability.
PTF congratulates Mervyn King for being selected to receive this prestigious award from Deloitte.
The award ceremony will be held at the Wallace Collection in London on June 3, 2025.
