Supporting citizens against corruption

As we turn the page on 2011, PTF is energized to start a new year of anti-corruption work.  Last year proved to be a banner year for our organization. We were able to commit more than double the amount of project funds to grassroots civil society organizations (CSOs) than in 2010 and saw our pool of volunteer advisers increase as well!  This growth has allowed PTF to strengthen our grassroots networks and partnerships while positioning us to broaden our reach and escalate our impact up the policy ladder. Spring 2012 South Asia

South Asia initiative: Bangladesh and Nepal, Taking Off!

The Citizen Action for Results, Transparency and Accountability (CARTA) program focuses on monitoring the performance of World Bank-financed projects in Bangladesh and Nepal.  PTF advisers with CSOs on the ground will design and implement monitoring projects around road construction, water and sanitation works, rural development, public procurement, and local government capacity building. PTF Asia Workshop: A great success

In Jaipur, India the PTF Asia Regional Peer Learning and Knowledge Sharing Workshop was met with extraordinary success.  In early December, CSOs from eight Asian countries converged with respected experts to share personal experiences in fighting corruption and discuss lessons learned.  The results of this workshop, which will be published on the PTFwebsite include over 30 case studies of anti-corruption strategies and techniques.  To learn more about the Jaipur workshop, [click here].

PTF 2012 Outlook

PTF is looking forward to an exciting year ahead.  Looking to broaden and diversify funding, PTF is seeking to raise $7 million over the next three years to fund activities such as a country program assessment in Argentina, sector-oriented workshops in Eastern Europe and East Africa, and independent monitoring of other major donors.  We are focusing, broadening and scaling up our efforts while still maintaining strong connections with local CSOs.  To learn more about our 2012 outlook, [click here].
