Apply For A Grant

Who we fund

The Partnership for Transparency Fund provides small grants (typically $25,000 – $35,000) to Civil Society Organizations working in their countries to fight corruption and promote transparency and good governance.  Projects usually run for approximately one year, and successful projects are often continued or replicated in other areas.

PTF supports projects that address specific instances of corruption rather than awareness-raising or research.  We also encourage positive engagement with the public agency that is the object of scrutiny.

How to Apply

The following checklist shows the steps to apply for funding.

1) Concept Note
Send a brief Concept Note describing your project to Info@ptfund.org.  For more information on how to draft a good Concept Note >.

2) Audited Accounts
Before we can fund a project, we must receive a copy of your most recent Audited Accounts.  Why we require audited accounts.

3) Project Plan
After the project concept has been approved, an Adviser will be assigned to help you develop a project plan that includes a budget and a logframe.  See project plan guidelines and examples.

4) Grant Agreement
Once the project has been approved, PTF will send a grant agreement to be signed by the CSO.  Click here to see the Grant Agreement template.  The first tranche of funding will be released as soon as the agreement has been signed by both parties and PTF receives the CSO’s bank wiring information.
